A New Production of our Holiday tradition!

plus music of Cécile Chaminade, Jessie Montgomery, Jennifer Higdon, and Nancy Galbraith

Children under 10 attend for free, so bring the whole family!

Our holiday tradition this year returns to Menotti's beloved Amahl & the Night Visitors!  This season we're taking Amahl to the North Side and the New Hazlett Theater in a new production from emerging director Haley Stamats.  Boy soprano Emmanuel Tsao and Mezzo-soprano Olga Perez Flora make their Resonance Works debuts as Amahl and Mother alongside returning artists Jonathan Stuckey (Macbeth, Amahl, On the Town), Christopher Scott (On the Town, Side by Side by Sondheim), and Robert Chafin (Evidence of Things Not Seen) as the three kings!

This year the first half of the program will include one of the staples of the flute repertoire, the Concertino by Cécile Chaminade.  Flutist Lindsey Goodman, who wowed with the world premiere of Galbraith's Flute Concerto in May, now takes on this romantic work from over a century ago by another exceptional woman! Works by Jessie Montgomery, Jennifer Higdon, and Pittsburgh’s own Nancy Galbraith complete this holiday celebration for the whole family!
