Thank you for your interest in Verdi by Vegetables! This page provides detailed information about every aspect of the event, and ways to get in touch if you’re having trouble with anything. The Basics
To enjoy the premiere party, you’ll need to do just three things:
Have Zoom installed.
Print out your bingo card (if you want to play).
Go to the event page.
Easy peasy! First, if you don’t have the free Zoom client installed, please go to this page for instructions and a download. Go take care of that now -- we’ll wait! :-)
Second, if you’d like to play bingo, click on this link to download your personal bingo card. Print it out, and keep it handy, so you can mark the squares as you watch the movie.
Finally, the event page has everything that you need for the premiere party! At any time after 2:45 pm ET, you’ll be able to open it. So, to access the event:
Scroll down in your ticket email and click the Access Online Event button (see the red arrow in the image below).
Once you arrive, you’ll want to keep that page open for the duration of the event.
To get started, click on the Green Room tab under Media.
Click on Launch to join the Zoom meeting. (If you’d rather not be seen, never fear, you don’t have to turn your video on!)
Once you’re connected, you’re in good shape: we’ll walk you through the rest!

Need Help?
The rest of this page should answer most questions that our intrepid audience members may have. However, if you can’t find the answers to your burning questions on this page, please get in touch with us! If you’re in the Zoom event, please send a chat message just saying “Help!”, and either Sarah College or Brennan Sellner will give you a hand. If you’re not in the event yet, the most efficient way is to email us at info@resworks.org, and we’ll get back to you right away. You can also call us at 412-501-3330, but we’re a small company, and only have a couple of people available to answer the phone, so we may have to call you back.
The Event Page
The event page is the core of the Verdi by Veggies premiere party! See above for instructions on how to reach it (spoiler: click on Access Online Event in your ticket email). Once you’re there, you’ll see a list of tabs to the right, with the currently selected activity or video on the left. The tabs are:
Green Room: A link to the Zoom meeting where we’ll all congregate.
Bingo Card: A convenient place to grab your bingo card, if you didn’t print it out in advance.
Act 1: The first act of the movie!
Act 2: Shockingly, the second act of the movie!
Act 3: We’ll give you one guess on this one…
Auction: A link to our auction site (see below for more information).

Using Zoom
We will be using Zoom for our viewing party, so that we can all interact, play trivia, and generally have fun! If you haven’t used it before, Zoom is a program that runs on your computer, phone, or tablet and allows you to video conference with people around the world (but don’t worry, you can turn your camera off!). If you don’t have it installed, you’ll need to download this program from the Zoom website (instructions and download here). The free version of Zoom should meet all of your needs.
The link for our Zoom session is in the Green Room tab of your event page (see above for details): just click Launch to join us!
After you click on Launch, you will be put into a waiting room (like the waiting line to get into the theater). You will be given access to the Zoom room around 2:45 pm ET. Once you’ve joined the meeting, you can see and hear the other participants. Each participant is represented by a square that displays their face (if they’ve chosen to join with video) or just their name. If you’d prefer to not display your video, click or tap on the Stop Video button in the lower-left.
Please stay on the call for the duration of the event: while we’re watching the premiere, we will have everyone on mute so that we don’t accidentally disturb each other. We’d love it if you use the Zoom chat feature to share your reactions to, and favorite parts of, the movie while you’re watching it!
If you ever get disconnected from Zoom: Don’t fret. Just re-click on the Launch link in the Green Room tab of the event page, and you’ll be able to rejoin us!
Bingo
It wouldn’t be a premiere party if there wasn’t bingo! Before the event, go here to download your personalized bingo card and print it out. As you watch the movie, mark off squares as you see them, and call “Bingo!” in the Zoom chat as soon as you have bingo! We’ll then touch base with you to verify your card and award prizes. The first three to score a linear bingo (five in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) win a prize! The first to score a blackout (all squares marked) also wins!
Maximum of one bingo prize per individual. Bingo prizes will be shipped to you following the event, so we may be reaching out for your address.
The Movie
The movie has been broken into three acts that you will be able to view during the premiere event via the Act 1, 2, and 3 tabs on the event page:
Simply click on the appropriate act, then press the play button in the lower-left of the video player. If you’d like to view the movie using your full screen, press the four-arrows button in the lower-right, just to the left of “Resonance Works” (press the Escape key to make the video smaller again).
If you need to take a bathroom break, or a snack break, or a cocktail break - you will be able to pause and start up the movie from where you left off! The movie will also be accessible to you, on demand, following the conclusion of the event. You can rewatch it to your heart’s content, and catch all the jokes again!
Between each act we have planned for two intermissions, where you will have the opportunity to take those breaks and/or participate in one of the other activities we have planned - like trivia!
Trivia
During the two intermissions, we’ll take 15 minutes or so to play a bit of vegetable & Verdi trivia, and have a chance to chat with each other! Everyone will be divided into trivia teams, captained by some friendly faces (can you tell which vegetables everyone played?). We’ll move each team into its own virtual space where you can chit-chat and decide on your answers: your team captain will submit them.
At the end of two rounds of trivia, one team will be chosen as the winner AND THERE WILL BE PRIZES. You need to have participated in both rounds on the same trivia team to win. :-)
Auction
As a part of this fundraiser, we’re also holding a virtual silent auction! From paintings by local artists to dining-themed baskets to self-care, there are incredible items and experiences for everyone! You can reach the auction site through the Auction tab of the event page, or by clicking on this finely-crafted link. Bidding on the auction is now open, and will close Tuesday, December 15 at 8 p.m.
Once you are at the site, scroll down to look at the different items, and click on their titles to view the details (use the Back button to return to the main list). You can place bids on items you’re interested in, as well as setting a maximum bid if you want to automatically beat out any challengers! Once you enter a bid amount and press the blue Bid button, you’ll be prompted to enter your credit card information. Please note: you will not be charged unless you win the item!
One other note: the platform that we’re using asks for tips to support their operations. This is entirely voluntary, but defaults to on. You can change or disable the tip amount when you’re entering your billing information: look near the top, under "Support BetterWorld.org".
All winners will receive an email upon the closing of the auction. A member of the Resonance Works team will be in contact with you to facilitate shipment. Please note that we cannot guarantee delivery before the holiday season (unfortunately we do not have the capabilities of Amazon at this time). Some lots are identified as being Pittsburgh-area only, as we sadly cannot legally ship alcohol.
